Ambassadors

Prisha

I am an incoming first year mechanical engineering student at University College London. From a young age, I have been drawn to creative subjects as well as problem-solving challenges. This led me to design and create an elbow-actuated prosthetic arm for a student during my school years, igniting my interest in humanitarian innovation!

I am currently on a gap year, and have had the opportunity to complete a 3-month summer placement at the global engineering company Renishaw Plc. This allowed me to develop practical skills and experience with computer-aided design by working on tooling projects for their machines. I also participated in their Greenpower Team, contributing to the construction of aerodynamic cars for racing events.

Since my placement, I have been working as an instructor at Robotics and Science clubs, mentoring students in debating and public speaking, pursuing a leadership qualification at Girlguides, and volunteering as a STEM ambassador. I am also making robotics projects with my 3D printer, and have participated in and am super grateful to have won 2 engineering competitions during this time!

Beyond academics and professional development, I enjoy creative outlets like experimenting with different art mediums. I am also learning the acoustic guitar and enjoy playing badminton!
