
We collaborated with the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) who are celebrating 40 years since being founded by the Mercury 7 Astronauts. The ASF provides scholarships to college students studying in all STEM fields.
Izzy was joined by Jimena, an A-Level student interested in Aerospace Engineering. Izzy and Jimena interviewed Lisa Schott, Vice Chairman of the ASF, and Karly Liebendorfer, Biomedical Engineering student and Astronaut Scholar.
Lisa applied her Mechanical Engineering experience to set up her own business, specialising in acoustics, noise control and vibration; designing and controlling noise and acoustics in various buildings. Karly is researching Space Medicine helping to find solutions to treat medical conditions in space.
